Turn Your Café Window into an Instant Digital Signage

If you own a café or restaurant, you’ve probably considered using your storefront glass to attract more customers. Digital signage, including kiosks and electronic menu boards, is commonly used in commercial spaces. At Paintpam, we introduce instant signage—a simple way to create digital displays using rear screen paint on glass surfaces.

Creating a Rear Screen on Glass is Easier Than You Think

The beauty of Paintpam’s Rear Screen Paint lies in its simplicity:

Sizing and Preparing Your Rear Screen

To create a full-screen display, measure and mask the area before painting. Most projectors today support a 16:10 aspect ratio (some use 16:9, so check your projector specifications online).

Applying Rear Screen Paint: Step-by-Step

1. Prepare the Paint Tray

  • Pour the paint into a tray.

  • Soak the roller but avoid overfilling to prevent dripping.

2. Apply Evenly

• Roll the paint onto the glass in a single direction (either left↔right or up↕down, but not both).

• If any areas appear thin, recoat in the same direction rather than changing strokes.

Paint in one direction only if possible.

3. Do Not Pause Midway

• Once you start painting, finish in one go. Stopping midway can cause uneven patches when repainting later.

4. Remove Masking Tape Promptly

• While the paint is still wet, carefully peel off the masking tape to create a clean, rectangular screen.

Remove the masking before the paint dries.

Tips for a Perfect Rear Projection Screen

Use just enough paint so it doesn’t drip from the roller.

Avoid multi-directional strokes to prevent uneven textures.

Fill in gaps naturally while rolling in a single direction.

Complete the painting process in one session to prevent streaks.

After painting, roller marks will fade within 30 minutes, and the projected image will become clearer.

Easily Removable for Store Interior Changes

A key advantage of Paintpam’s Rear Screen Paint is its easy removal—just spray water, and it peels off cleanly. This allows flexibility for seasonal promotions or store renovations without damaging the original glass.
