A Curved-Projection Booth That Carried the Daegu New Airport Vision

A Curved-Projection Booth That Carried the Daegu New Airport Vision

At an engineering expo, the booth that wins is the one that shows the future, not the one that lists the specs. The City of Daegu came to the 2026 Future Engineering Expo with a story to tell about its New Airport project, and a 3-meter-by-3-meter booth to tell it in.

They needed the booth to feel bigger than its footprint.

What we built

A single MP-D mobile dome, set inside the booth, with the New Airport's global vision content running across the curved surface. Visitors stepped inside, looked up, and saw the airport rendered as a 360-degree environment instead of a flat render on a poster.

The dome is roughly 3 meters across. Inside the booth's footprint, it gave the city the feel of a much larger display.

Why curved projection, not a flat screen

A flat screen at an expo has to compete with every other flat screen in the hall. A curved surface does something the surrounding booths cannot: it wraps the visitor in the content. The brain reads it as space, not as media.

For an airport project — a piece of infrastructure that is fundamentally about scale — that distinction is the entire pitch.

What visitors experienced

A short cinematic loop, on rotation. Aerial passes over the New Airport site. Detail views of terminal architecture. Connections to the global routes the airport will open up. Each loop ran about two minutes. Visitors usually stayed for one full pass.

The dome also doubled as a press shot. Several news photographers used the booth for their expo coverage.

Who this is for

City pavilions, infrastructure project booths, transit authorities, and any organization presenting a large-scale concept inside a small footprint. The MP-D rents per event, sets up in a few hours, and runs any 360-degree content you bring.

If your booth is small and your project is large, the dome is how you close that gap.
