Live Messages on the LED Wall: A Transparent Guestbook at CJ Donors Camp 2025
CJ Donors Camp is the annual gathering where CJ's cultural-arts club members meet, share, and close out the year. In 2025 it ran at CGV Yongsan, a venue with an LED wall the size of a movie screen.
The organizers wanted the wall to be more than a backdrop.
What we built
A single MP-C transparent guestbook canvas, placed near the entry, paired with the venue's main LED wall. As attendees walked in, they wrote a short message or drew a quick sketch on the transparent panel. Within seconds, that message floated up and joined the others already drifting across the LED wall behind the stage.
By the time the program started, the wall was full of handwriting from the people sitting in front of it.
Why a guestbook on a transparent panel
Most guestbooks are physical books or tablets. Both ask people to look down. The MP-C panel is at standing height and transparent — guests see the LED wall behind it as they write, so the act of signing feels connected to the room, not separated from it.
The transparency also makes the panel easy to use in a busy lobby. There is no glare from above. Nobody has to lean in to read what they're writing.
What attendees experienced
Each message lingered on the LED wall for a few minutes, drifting slowly, then made room for the next. Some attendees came back during intermission to find theirs. Several photographed the wall as a group portrait of the night.
The scene is called Floating Signature Stream. It is calm by default. It accelerates when many messages arrive at once. For a club performance with a packed lobby, that rhythm matters.
Who this is for
Corporate events, annual gatherings, donor evenings, and any program where the room itself is a participant. The MP-C panel travels in one road case, sets up in under an hour, and runs locally — no internet required.
If your event has an LED wall already, the guestbook gives it a second job for the night.
